The suburbs of Vehari were identified by The Sultan Foundation that needed better medical facilities. For this project, the district Government donated land to The Sultan Foundation to build a hospital on Multan Road, some 5 kilometers from the main city. The hospital caters to almost 150 to 200 outdoor patients per day most of whom come for heart related issues, skin diseases and asthma. Similar to our project in Multan, complete course of Hepatitis C vaccinations is available at the hospital. Recently, based on complaints by the local community regarding dog bites, a vaccination for this has also been introduced for the affected patients.
