To battle the poor health conditions in the outskirts of Multan, a small health care centre was setup adjacent to Al-Hilal industries in 2000. The approach to the health care centre is from the main road in order to provide easy access to people of the community. The clinic has been operational for the past thirteen years and is providing services in general OPD. The health care centre operates in two shifts comprising of two doctors (male and female) to help a diverse range of patients. A more recent initiative taken by The Sultan Foundation was to combat the ever increasing disease of Hepatitis C. For this, The Sultan Foundation set up free medical camps in different areas of Multan to diagnose people who were affected by this virus. Following that, patients were registered at our Health Care Centre to complete the six months course. Treatment of Hepatitis C has become a permanent service provided by our Health Care Centre now and so far 272 patients have been successfully treated.
